What’s the story Morning Glory?
May 18th, 2011

I’ve been teaching Colouring 101 online for the last five weeks and while making the videos for the class, I put one of them up on YouTube. It’s a fast forwarded video of me colouring and it’s quite long – you might even find it a bit tedious to watch, but whenever I have demonstrated colouring, I have a handful of people who watch in fascinated contentment and when I stop, they always say, “oh, I could watch that all day”. So this is for those of you who find it therapeutic to watch someone else colour in. There’s a few squeaky bits which is me sharpening pencils. (I edited it in a bit of a rush, so I think some of the squeaks could actually be me saying something, but it will just have to stay as it is for now.)
The colouring class will be running again this summer, so I shall tell you more about it when I have dates.

This beautiful Glenda and I’d really like to join that class if my life has calmed down a bit by then.

Thanks so much for sharing that – it is indeed fascinating watching someone colouring even speeded up and I also find it a very therapeutic thing to do. I will be watching out for the repeat of the classes.

Thanks Glenda, great tutorial – you are defo queen of colouring! Beautiful finished artwork and I’m going to link in the Cupboard as my readers will love watching this inspiring video. ikki
Thanks for sharing this Glenda, I’m one of those who can sit and watch someone colour for ages and I find it very therapeutic to do myself. Hopefully my life will be less full of visitors next time you do the class and I will be able to join in

I’ve been taking Glenda’s course – I never realised that I could combine different types of pencils & watercolours & the effect of using watercolour paper. It’s been a lovely time of discovery & my husband has just watched each lesson unfold as I’ve worked. The camaraderie & encouragement of the classroom is tremendous too & each person can share their struggles. Each person contributes as much as he/she wants/has time to. The classroom gallery is tremendous inspiration & has certainly made me take a deep breath & plumb depths that I did not realise I was capable of. With chronic migraines I’m someone who could not travel or commit to regular attendance at classes but this has enabled me to follow a tutored structured programme of learning in something I’m passionate about.

Hi Glenda. Thank you for posting the tutorial. Like the other Ladies have said, ‘I could stand for ages watching them colouring in.’ It has inspired me to do some this evening. Thanks.

Hi Glenda thanks for sharing the video it is so relaxing watching someone else colour.
Yesterday I was playing blog catch up and I read the sad news about Zaphod and I was so upset I couldn’t comment. Having followed him since kittenhood It was like losing one of my own cats. No words can express my sadness at your loss but I”m sure you will have many happy memories to remember him by.

Loved this, Glenda & like so many others have said, colouring-in is so therapeutic both to do & to watch – FAB!
But please tell me how you got that image? I have an A4 Graphicus plate with the same image on but it has script behind the flower – did you mask it somehow?
thanks, Liz M x
