I came downstairs this morning to find Trillian had gone into mental hypercat mode.  I didn’t sweep the kitchen floor after cooking last night and she had found a little bit of red onion skin which she was batting around and pouncing on in a very kittenish way.  So I grabbed the video camera and tossed her a ball of scrunched up paper …

She does have a terrible tendency to slamdunk her head straight into the plinth. Crazy calico!

PS – good news, our delivery arrived yesterday so one pot of Glue ‘n’ Seal is put aside for my blog winner.

  1. Hi Glenda. Just the giggle I needed to start the weekend. Trillian has grown so much. She certainly did wake up full of beans. I love the way she walks away from the paper and then checks to see it’s still there. You are right the plinth head contact doesn’t seem to bother her.

  3. lovely cheerful start to a grey day – made me wonder do cats get bruises?

  5. Aren’t cats funny! They just can’t resist a ball of paper.
Mine (who’s now around 13), hauled a round flattish shell out of a boxful that I was working with last year, and now it’s the best thing ever!
It doesn’t roll or run smoothly like any of her other toys, though it spins, it’s been in the box for years, but it’s definitely her favourite thing!
She’s also galloping about chasing things again, spring must be on its way – I hope!

  6. I’ve watched this several times & can’t help chuckling. I love the way her attention gets caught by something behind her & she darts off.
    Have a good weekend.

  7. Poor baby must have a headache now! I love the way cats try to ignore the temptation, look all superior, and then dive in once again like a maniac. So cute, makes me miss my fur babies :( but thanks for sharing.

  8. Awwww she is adorable Glenda, that really brought a smile to my face.

  9. Hi Glenda! I love your cat! They can have fun with the least-expensive piece of nothing! I get a big kick out of watching them! Very cute, and funny!

  10. A wonderful bit of video. Trillian has grown into a gorgeous cat! She reminds me so much of our late Selene – she would do this too. It’s amazing how thumping into walls and doors, etc. doesn’t seem to faze them in the least. :-)

  11. She’ll give herself brain damage! I love how she pretends to ignore the paper ball & then attacks it, so funny. And she’s beautiful.

  12. Thanks for the laugh Glenda but hope the poor baby doesn’t have a headache after her antics bless her. Suexxx

  13. Ouch!!!!Love the way she pretends she isn’t interested in the ball and ignores it only to charge furiously the next minute.Cats are such fun.xx Joyce
