White Christmas Challenge

Congratulations to the lucky winner – click here to find out who won!

How would you like the chance to win a £10 voucher to spend on Chocolate Baroque rubber stamps? Or would you prefer a £20 voucher or how about £50? I’ve managed to talk the owners of Chocolate Baroque into sponsoring a little challenge that I’m hosting here on my blog (they’re a pretty nice couple, so they didn’t take much persuading!) and the more people that play, the bigger the prize.

Basically, I will add £1.00 to the value of the gift voucher for each person who submits an entry to the challenge via the link form below. So if we only get five entries, the prize will be £5.00, but if we get 35 entries, the prize will be £35.00. I am setting a maximum prize fund of £50.00, and the winner will be drawn at random, so you have nothing to lose by having a go and a lot to gain by encouraging all your challenge-holic buddies to join in.

The theme is WHITE CHRISTMAS and how you interpret the theme and what kind of artwork you produce is entirely up to you – cards are obviously welcome but feel free to do anything from ATCs to jewellery, canvas to crochet.  As a bonus, any pieces which showcase Chocolate Baroque stamps particularly well will be featured in full on the Chocolate Baroque Design Team blog over Christmas with a link back to your blog.

The closing date is DECEMBER 15TH 2011 and the winner will be chosen at random from the list of entries.

I have produced something myself which I will reveal nearer the time.

So, if you would like to play along, I would really love to spread the word and get as many people joining in as possible. Here is a logo you can put on your blog, forum or Facebook, etc to encourage people to play along.

To put this image into an html widget you will need the following code:

<p style=”text-align: center;”><a href=”http://glendawaterworth.com/white-christmas-challenge/”><img title=”white-christmas-blog-logo” src=”http://glendawaterworth.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/white-christmas-blog-logo.gif” alt=”" width=”150″ height=”487″ /></a></p>

[EDIT:  Some people have reported the code above doesn't work, so try this which works for a blogger HTML/Javascript widget:

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://glendawaterworth.com/white-christmas-challenge/"><img alt="" height="487" src="http://glendawaterworth.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/white-christmas-blog-logo.gif" title="white-christmas-blog-logo" width="150" /></a></div>

Or if you prefer to use the Blogger Add Picture widget, the URL for the image is http://glendawaterworth.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/white-christmas-blog-logo.gif and it should link to http://glendawaterworth.com/white-christmas-challenge/ ‎so people can find out the information they need.

END EDIT]

I do hope you will take part – there is a huge range of glorious stamps to choose from at Chocolate Baroque so I’m sure you will find something there to take your fancy if you are the lucky winner.

(If you can’t see the link gadget above, you may need to install or enable  javascript in your browser.)

  6. Do I need to have a Blog to take part in this Challenge,Glenda?I’m utterly Blogless!

    • You need to be able to link to a photo of your entry, so you could put it on a photo sharing site like Photobucket, Flickr or similar, so you don’t need to actually have a blog.

Maybe a friend could put a photo on their blog for you?

      Glenda

      • I do have a Photobucket Account and post a lot of my pics there to load onto another Forum, thanks Glenda..

now all I have to do is create something!!

  16. Wow, there’s some talent out there! I’ve just added my entry and looking at the others I am incredibly impressed. Must go check out their blogs now and see them in more detail.

BTW, I’m not sure if I can use the logo as I have a WordPress site?

    • Joanna, you can use the logo, the first snippet of html is actually from my blog which is WordPress too. Paste it into a text widget on your blog. If that doesn’t work, right click on the logo and either save it to your computer then upload it to your blog, or copy it’s location and add an image using the URL. Your hubby will be able to help I’m sure.

This site is WordPress too, but I included the html for blogger users which includes the link back to this page.

  22. Hi Glenda, I have had such fun using your stamps for this challenge. At first I was a bit stumped (pun intended) then realised I could mask the bottom of the little tree in a tub and it would make a great modern style card. Mine seems rather plain compared to all of the other glorious offerings. Fantastic cards Everyone.
    Best wishes to you all.
    Happy Inking

  23. Hi Glenda.
I was hoping we would be able to submit more than one entry as I have done another one (something completely different) and I can’t work out how to post it

    Please advise

    Lisbeth

    • hi Lisbeth

it took me a while to work out how your blog works as it’s a bit different to the way wordpress or blogger does it. I did manage to edit the links on your two entries so they should now take you to the specific blog entry where the photo is, rather than to your main website. It’s working for me now, so hope it’s working for everyone else too.

      Glenda

  24. Hi, this is my first card with my first Chocolate Baroque stamps. I never heard from this stamps until i saw them in the magazine Craft Stamper and i was tottaly in love with them. They are so beautifull. I bought them on a craft market(i don’t now the exact word for it) by a dutch store called Posthumus. When i saw there was a challenge i was already making this card. I tried to put the Google Tranlator on my blog but i don’t now if it’s working.
    Sylvia

  25. Made it with 3 mins to spare
