Online Classes

I teach online classes through an American company called My Creative Classroom (MCC), run by teacher Jeri Parks.  MCC runs a wide range of courses and I have three classes with them which are repeated a couple of times a year.  I do not run MCC myself, I am commissioned to prepare the class and support students while it runs, so to sign up for a class, you need to register with MCC at their website which is www.mycreativeclassroom.com.

Next Classes:

I don’t have any classes running until the Autumn semester, but I’ll publish dates as soon as I know them.

My current classes are

  • Card Design Workshop
  • Rubber Stamping: Back to Basics
  • Rubber Stamping: Terrific Techniques

How My Creative Classroom works:

Once you have set yourself up with a username and password on their site, you can enrol on any of their courses. Each course you enrol on has it’s own web page on the site which is known as a virtual classroom. There’s a news forum on there (think of it as the teacher’s blackboard), a general chat forum where you can get to know other students (the cafeteria) and each week there is a specific forum for that lesson where you can ask me any questions about the techniques or materials covered. By using this kind of structure, whenever anyone asks a question, all students benefit from the answer.

Each week a new lesson is revealed in the classroom and you get an email to let you know the material is available.  There is a comprehensive handout which is a pdf file that you can save and print, plus a presentation or videos.

Each week I suggest activities, but I must stress that homework is not compulsory and if you don’t have time to do it, that’s fine. You’ll probably get more out of the course if you can make the time to try out the activities, but my classes are a laid back guilt free zone, so it’s up to you.

There is a gallery where you can upload photos of your work and if you want constructive feedback, you can ask for it.

Just a note – if you need to ask me any questions, leaving a comment below is not really the best way to reach me as I don’t always see the comments straight away.  Visit the Contact Us page on the Chocolate Baroque website to find out how you can get in touch with me, or someone else who can help.  Thanks.

  1. I would love to be involved in your workshops. I love your stamps and cards. It is always a matter of time to me so appreciate viewing card making videos to assist me in making cards.

  2. I have done both of the rubber stamping courses and they are fabulous. Great tutorials and the ‘homework’ is great too.

    Well worth enrolling for

  3. I was delighted when I found your website, as I loved your Artilicious cds. However, try as I might, I am unable to register for the on line course, as I am told.l. Error 404. Page does not exist. My attempts to buy from your shop are also thwarted, as I am still waiting to to be accepted.!I wonder how many potential customers who wish to buy on the spur of the moment, you are losing

    • Thanks for your comment Rita. I do apologise that you tried to register for a course that is now closed for enrollment – I have removed that link now.

As for our website, registration is instant unless you try to register in a category that requires manual checking, such as wholesale or Guild members. I can see that your account is set up and active now so you shouldn’t have any further problems.

      all the best,
      Glenda

  5. These courses are a mine of information & I’m constantly referring back to the pdf files provided, not to mention the swatches of materials created during the course of the optional homework. I have no fellow local stamping enthusiasts so this way of learning is fantastic.
I can heartily recommend these – as I’ve not looked back since I’ve been doing them – I can feel the difference.
