Buds are budding, birds are singing, stamps are stamping

A simple card, but one which sums up the glorious day we are having here today.  There’s daffodils bursting out everywhere, bunnies bouncing around the garden and buds on the trees.  It won’t be long before the trees explode with blossom – Spring really is my favourite season of the year.

The word here is from an old stamp set – Fashion Dream and it’s stamped with Versamark and embossed with clear powder on watercolour paper.  Several other stamps from Fragrant Honeysuckle have been stamped over the top using Adirondack dye inkpads.  The whole thing then got a heavy spritz of water and the colours were just left to feather and bleed together.  The backing paper is from the Essence of Nature CD.

So we’re off out to enjoy the rest of this beautiful sunshine – have a great Sunday everyone!

Essence of Nature Contest Entries

You guys are great! I know I’ve been quiet for a few days, but there’s lots of stuff going on at the moment and some of it is too private to go into, but thanks for hanging in there and checking back to see what I’m up to.

I decided to put together a gallery of all the wonderful responses I got to the Essence of Nature challenge I threw at you last week.  I have put a slide show above, but if you are having trouble viewing that, then check them out below.  If you click on any of the thumbnail images, you will get a larger view, with thumbnails of the previous and next cards below, so if you want to, you can work your way through the whole gallery without having to page back and forward.

If you want to go visit these artists’ blogs, then you can do that by visiting the comments on the original message or simply click here.

You’ve definitely earned your free download – let me go ponder which one to give you and I will get that all set up in the next day or two.

Butterfly Collage

I found this coloured butterfly image when I was tidying up and knew that it would go beautifully with one of the Essence of Nature papers.  This paper has been bleached out by the camera’s flash a bit, but you can still see the soft greens and golden yellows that tie in so well with the daisy butterfly image.  The stamped image has been coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils on watercolour paper and the decoupaged butterfly has a touch of stickles on it.

I got some more pics of Smokey yesterday, so hope to get those up for you soon.  I have photographic proof that rabbits eat leylandii hedges!

OMG it's here!!!

The packing frenzy has begun …

The Essence of Nature CD arrived here this morning and it was all hands to the deck to get all your pre-orders turned around and out of the door.

One of our new Design Team members, Debbie, turned up with cakes and very kindly helped us pack them – above and beyond the call of duty that one!

And talking of Design Team – we have given the Elusive Images Design team a bit of a makeover and have announced the names of the new team.  I’m busy preparing a proper introduction, but do pop over to the DT blog to take a look.  I have added the follower widget so you can become a follower of the site if you want to.

Well enjoy folks, I hope there’s going to be lots of happy people tomorrow when the postie turns up.
